Me Time with Jim Jellyfish
Last night I had to drive over to Sidmouth to pick up an art deco tea trolley I'd scored on eBay (thanks Jules) so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to take myself off for a walk along the beach. I'm so glad I did because the weather was perfect, no one was around and it was great to just sit and watch the sea play around with time lapse.
I'd read in the paper that some beastly jellyfish had been washed up on the beaches, they weren't wrong. This dude, named Jim, looked like a proper little alien, I love it!
Sidmouth's beach hut and architecture game is so strong, I mean look at those pastel colours? I want one!
I'm loving spring so far. It's great knowing that we have all of summer, and lots of trips to the beach, to look forward to.

Monthly Thrift | March
Oh dear, it's almost May and I had completely forgotten to share my thrifty purchases from March. Since the weather has been warming I've been getting back into the groove of car boot sales & rummaging through charity shops. March was a pretty great month, I scored a fab dress and some awesome china.
I picked up this book in the charity shop because I love the cover, and cowboys. It turns out my Dad also collected them back in the 70s and still has them, I know where I get my excellent taste from!!
I can't take credit for the Hornsea, Rich picked that up for me so my collection is getting pretty big now. I'm now on the hunt for a display cabinet for it all.
It was a quiet month for vinyl shopping, but as these were 25p each I can't complain. And now the dress... I don't usually wear pink but I love it and it has pockets!!
Have you bagged any bargains lately?

What I Wore | Under the Sea
Before I learnt to drive & bought a car I would use public transport for all of my adventures, mainly coming home from uni for the weekend/week/holidays, and visiting uni friends since we graduated. On every single one of those trips I dragged a big holdall around, it's a mystery how I don't have a hunch back. Buying a carry on bag* is something that I've been meaning to invest in for a long time, particularly now I've got some serious itchy feet when it comes to wanting to explore more of Europe.
Now that we've had a week of beautiful sunshine and warmer weather, I'm longing for a beach holiday! Nothing but a good book, cocktails and all.the.sun! When an email popped up in my inbox about doing a collaboration with George at Asda I quite literally jumped at the chance. If you follow my Wednesday wish list posts, you'll have seen a couple of these swimsuits featured recently in my quest to find the perfect swimwear in a bid to get back in the water.
This black swimsuit* is by far my favourite, I love the 50s style and the *ahem* tummy tucking design, it really sucks everything in exactly where you want it to. I had every intention of modelling each of these costumes* for you, but instead I bottled it & I'm sharing this sneak peak. These body sculpt costumes range from £10-£12 and are the best I've found for a long time, I even popped to Asda and bought a couple more!
You can find this super light weight carry on case* is just perfect for a mini break, especially if all you're planning on doing is lounging by a pool/on the beach, it's a total bargain and great quality.
Do you have any holidays planned this summer? And if you do, can I come?
A big thank you to George at Asda for hooking me up with these fab items!

March
Hello April, what better way to enter a new month than with a 4 day weekend? Now we're (hopefully) going into spring I'm ready for time to slow down, I'm longing for some vitamin D like you wouldn't believe.
But first, in March I...
- visited some of my best friends in Cardiff;
- met Catwoman**
- went on our first 'three pieketeers' outing - we love pie;
- admired the spring flowers popping up everywhere;
- spent mothers day at the beach thinking about my Mum;
- watched the solar eclipse;
- bought countless bunches of tulips;
- wore lipstick for the first.time.ever;
- celebrated my 28th birthday.
Here's hoping for a warmer, sunnier month ahead.
