Christmas or 'Cathmas'

And so another Christmas is over. It always makes me a little bit sad that after months of planning and preparation, it's over in the blink of an eye. I even took down the decorations last night, the house looked so bare it was a little sad, but seeing as I'm back at work today it seemed like the right time to get it done.

So anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New year? Did Santa bring you lots of nice things?

I was pretty spoilt this year with presents. As my Dad and his partner had bought their first home together back in November, it was our first Christmas that wasn't in our family home. On Christmas morning I woke up at Rich's house for presents and cups of tea with him and his family, it was ace. One of my favourite moments was watching Lilly the dog opening her presents, the clever little monkey that she is, and of course the happy looks on people's faces as they open their presents.
Then it was on to my Dad's house for a day of food and family time. I was looking forward to Christmas but knew it would be strange as so much had changed over the last couple of months, it would also be the first time we'd properly meet Julie's children. Thankfully things went fairly smoothly, I was super proud of my family for trying so hard to make it a nice couple of days, even if it wasn't always appreciated by some people. But in true Ginn style, my family stuck together and supported each other to make it a lovely day. Boxing day was even better as my Sister, her partner and my nephew joined us for the festivities. Having a baby around makes everything so much easier, the constant entertainment is wonderful and he's just amazing anyway.

So here are a couple of photos from my Christmas...
