An Evening Bike Ride

Lately I've been pretty crap about going to the gym. The weather has been so good and the last thing I want to do is be stuck inside in the evenings, after being stuck in an office all day. To make myself feel better about my gym slacking I have been taking Claudia out instead.

A few nights ago I found myself riding around in circles for about an hour, just to avoid going home. It was warm, the sun was setting, the air smelt amazing and I wanted to stay out in it forever, or until it got dark and cold. I loving living next to the river and canal so much, there really is nowhere better to cycle and blow away the cobwebs.

Now the evenings are pulling in and it's getting a bit chilly I am upping my game and getting back to classes. Bring on the sweat.

  1. Afternoon bike rides are the best! I had a super cute creamy vintage style bicycle but had to part ways with her at the beginning of this year due to my rule 'if it hasn't been used in the last 12 months - get rid of it' & moving to a new rental that hasn't got any outside storage area. I'm looking forward to the day when I can replace my old friend & go on lengthy afternoon rides by the water.

    1. I admire your will power, I'm so rubbish at getting rid of things but really need to. x

  2. Well done for getting outside and making the most of the dregs of summer :) My cardio plans for winter involve lifting spoonfuls of stew/crumble into my face, and occasionally doing some vaccuuming xxx

  3. That looks like an amazing bike ride. I love your bike its so dreamy. I have a bike but the city I live in is quite large and honestly sometimes I fear riding along cars on the streets. I have heard so many scary stories of injury since cars don't seem to mind you. Basically I wish I could ride my bike more or did find reasons to ride it more.

    1. I try my hardest not to cycle on the roads, drivers have very little patience for cyclists here unfortunately so I'd rather be safe on the cycle lanes. Do you have any parks or anything you could cycle in? xx
